Starting your language learning journey with Babbel is quick and easy! As soon as your payment is processed, you can begin learning your new language right away. If you encounter any problems, don't worry - there are simple steps you can follow to resolve them and get back on track.


When do I get my access?

Once you have finalised the transaction and completed your purchase, your Babbel subscription will automatically be added to your account so you can start your language learning journey immediately.

How can I check my subscription?

You can always check your current subscription and access in your account settings. To find this information:

  1. Log in to your account on babbel.com
  2. Click on the profile icon in the top right corner and select Profile and settings
  3. Select the Account Information section on the left

What should I do if I don't have access to the lessons?

Sometimes it may seem that you don't have access to Babbel courses, even though you have paid for them. In this situation you can try the following steps:

  1. Check your email address
    The most common reason for being locked out of your subscription is using the wrong email address or login method. Make sure you're logged in with the email address or login method you used to subscribe to Babbel. 

    You can verify this by checking the email address on your invoice, or by looking for the welcome email that was sent to you after registration with Babbel.
  2. Check your language
    Make sure the language you are learning matches the language you have subscribed to. A standard subscription gives you access to one language, so choosing a different language may lock you out of content. 

    You can check your subscription language in your account settings or subscription confirmation email. 
  3. Log out and log in again 
    If you have confirmed that you are using the correct email address or login method, and that your learning language matches your subscription language, try logging out and logging in again. 

    To log out of the mobile app, tap the Profile icon and then the Settings wheel icon, select Settings, and then select Sign out. On the desktop, click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page and select Sign out from the dropdown menu.
