In the Babbel app, you can choose your preferred app appearance and switch to a dark mode. This option replaces the traditional light background with a darker palette, improving visual comfort, especially in low-light environments, and can also extend battery life.
Dark mode in the Babbel app
In the Babbel app, this feature is available from version 21.31 on both Android and iOS platforms.This means that if you have updated your app to the latest version, you can easily switch to dark mode and enjoy a more relaxing visual experience while you learn.
Please note, this feature is not available if you are learning via the Babbel website. There you can only use the light mode and it is not possible to switch it.
Change the appearance
To enable or disable the dark mode in the Babbel app
- Open the Babbel app on your device.
- Click on the profile icon
in the top right corner and go to settings

- Select Appearance from the menu.
- Choose between light and dark mode, or set the appearance to match your device settings.
