Timing of subscription payments

Babbel is a subscription-based service, and to access our content you'll need to choose one of our plans. Based on the plan you choose, your subscription will automatically renew to ensure that your learning experience continues uninterrupted.

This way you can focus on your language journey, and not worry about anything else.

When will I be charged?

When you select your subscription plan, you will be billed upfront for the entire duration of your chosen subscription period.

On our pricing pages, we break down the total cost of our longer term subscriptions into a monthly rate to highlight the savings you would make by committing to a longer period, but you will always pay upfront for the full subscription period.

For example, if you choose a 6 month subscription, you will be charged at the beginning for the first six months and after this subscription period has ended, a renewal payment will be automatically processed for the next period. These recurring payments will continue until you decide to cancel your subscription.

If you've chosen a Babbel Lifetime subscription or activated your subscription with a voucher, there are no recurring payments - your subscription will be valid for a specific period of time (vouchers) or will never expire (Lifetime).

Can I pay in instalments?

At the moment Babbel does not offer the possibility to pay in instalments. At the time of purchase, you pay for the whole period of your subscription.

However, we do offer a monthly subscription plan that renews every month. This option allows you to pay on a monthly basis, giving you flexibility if you do not want to commit to a longer term subscription.
