What is a Placement test?
Babbel's placement test assesses your prior knowledge in order to guide you to the right starting point in our content. When you register, you will be asked to take a short test about your learning knowledge and based on your answers, we will recommend the best course for you to start with.
Where can I find the placement test?
You will be asked about your language knowledge when you register with Babbel, and you can then take the placement test on the Home tab in the app and on babbel.com. You can take the test again* anytime you want to assess your knowledge level.
To access the placement test, open Babbel and click on Learning plan and if you are using browser click on Check your level, if you are using the app - tap on the pencil icon next to the level and then on Check your level.
How can I change my level?
If you feel that the level you have been placed in does not match your skills, you can change your level by going to Explore and choosing a different course. You can also learn more about how to navigate between courses here.
* Placement test is not available to take again if you are learning Spanish (Latin America)
