You can find the join classroom button on Babbel.com or directly through the Babbel app. Please install the Zoom app on your device ahead of time. If you are using a desktop, you can also use Zoom's join from browser option after following the steps below:
On a desktop or laptop:
- Log in to your account at Babbel.com
- Select Live from your homepage menu
- Find your scheduled class and click prepare for class
- Click Join classroom
- Follow the prompt to join the meeting on Zoom
On the iOS or Android app:
- Select the Live tab from the main menu
- In the Scheduled section tap the See all option
- Select Prepare for class
- Tap Join classroom
- Follow the prompt to join the meeting on Zoom
If you have trouble joining:
- Check you have popups enabled in your browser
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies
- Check you have the latest version of Zoom installed
You can join Babbel Live classes up to 15 minutes before they start. If you click the Join classroom button more than 10 minutes after the class start time, you won’t be able to join.
If you do join early, you’ll see the Zoom waiting room screen until your teacher starts the session. You can rest assured that your teacher has started the class and will let you in shortly when you see the following message: “Host has joined. We’ve let them know you’re here.”
If it’s more than 10 minutes past the class start time, and you haven’t been let into the digital classroom, there may have been a technical error or a teacher may have had a problem. If this happens, please reach out: babbel.live@babbel.com. We always look into any class that wasn’t started to find out what went wrong.
