Every word or phrase in Your personal vocabulary on www.babbel.com is assigned to one of six knowledge levels. Each time one is reviewed correctly, it moves up a level. It works like this:
- If no mistake is made, the word or phrase moves up one level and becomes due again in 4 - 180 days (depending on the new level).
- If you make only one mistake, the word or phrase stays at the same level and becomes due again the next day.
- If you make more than one mistake, the word or phrase moves down a level and becomes due again immediately.
This means words and phrases that come easily to you will end up at a higher level and, consequently, need to be reviewed less. Those you have more difficulty with, on the other hand, will have to be reviewed more often until they've been truly committed to memory.
